The name “Cinnamon” comes from a Greek word. It’s called by different names & it’s known as “KURUNDU” in Sri Lanka. Ceylon CInnamon was used as a mixture with tea, spice & a herb. Kurundu consists of 0.5% – 1% aromatic oil which is one of special qualities. The most distinctive fact about Cinnamon is its Antioxidant Activity & Antimicrobial Properties, which help to heighten the medicinal value of Cinnamon. Therefore it has been used to make various medicines, foods & beverages. According to the latest scientific researches “CINNAMON” can be considered as a “DIVINE HERB” which reduce the Obesity, control Diabetes, Cholesterol & heal many more diseases.
